EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The event continues the regular debate on public procurement following the conferences organised by all previous presiding Member States, and the Commission expert group with regard to current topics.
 
CONTENT:
The meeting of Commission experts and the representatives of EU Council member states takes place on the first day, an all-day conference follows the day after. The following topics will be dealt with or opened:

Innovative procurement
During the Czech presidency, discussion will focus on the following topics:

• innovative, sustainable and, in particular, effective public procurement,
• making tenders and related business opportunities accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises,
• sharing good practices related to innovative public procurement

Presentation of the Ministry's active stance towards effective public procurement
The Czech presidency creates an opportunity for the Czech Republic to present its active stance toward the effective system of public procurement (massive educational and methodical activity and a discussion with concerned partners on significant topics).
