EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The URBACT Monitoring Committee monitors the implementation of URBACT. The Committee members include representatives of individual Member States involved in URBACT, the European Commission and relevant involved bodies and institutions, including entities of common interest. Regular meetings of the Monitoring Committee usually take place every six months in the Member State presiding the EU Council.

CONTENT:
The programme of the URBACT Monitoring Committee is based on the monitoring and advisory function of the body for the URBACT's Managing Authority and the Member State responsible in particular for budget approval, including individual calls for action, monitoring if the programme's priorities are being met and the functioning of individual networks of cities. The Monitoring Committee also deals with specific issues related to the URBACT programme and urban development. To a large extent, specific focus of the meeting will be based on the final version of the upcoming URBACT IV and its connection to European Urban Agenda.
