EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Urban Development Group (UDG) meeting serves as a working body meeting to discuss the urban development agenda on a regular bi-annual basis in line with the rotating presidency system of the EU Council.

CONTENT:
The UDG meeting has a discussing, assisting and monitoring function with regard to the agenda of urban development of the current PRES on the working level. The UDG also serves as a preparation for the meeting of directors-general responsible for urban matters. The relevant topics of the UDG meeting are selected with regard to the PRES and TRIO priorities as well as long-term goals of the Urban Agenda for the EU and other strategic documents. The specific focus during CZ PRES will be based on the New Leipzig Charter and its Implementing document, on the upcoming European Urban Initiative and other EU and Czech activities in the field of sustainable urban development and urban policy.
